LDSFS frustrations

Do you mind if I ask you how long you've been waiting? We are starting the LDSFS application process. We're thinking about looking into other agencies as well. Just wondering what your experience was. Thanks!

This time we have been waiting for over a year. It also seems the push now is to "find your own baby." I am not comfortable with giving out my profile all the time. I feel like if I were pregnant and making such a tough decision, it would be annoying to have people always telling me to chose them or their friends or whatever. It's kind of like being single and being set up with someone just because they are single. Do you know what I mean? With our little boy it was a totally different story. We had a case worker who cared. We were chosen 6 weeks after we were approved and had him home three weeks after that.

All...please remember that agency discussion (specifics/info about an agency) must be done via PM. While LDSFS is part of the church, it is not a non profit organization and is an agency.
