I am 19, and my boyfriend of a year and a half is 20. We have lived together since the beginning of our relationship, with me supporting him completely. I have asked him to work before, but he never got around to it. I just found out that I am pregnant this morning, and I want to keep our baby, and so does he, but I don't know if we will be able to afford it! I know he will be a great father, I just can't handle being a working mother while he does stays home, even though he assures me that will not happen. I am considering not keeping the baby, but that would break my heart, and I don't know how I would forgive myself. At the same time, I do not want to bring a child into the world and have it not be a good situation. What should I do?Also, would anyone be able to help me find a good free or low cost clinic in my area? I really want to get to a doctor, but I don't have health insurance!

If you don't have health insurance, get signed up for Medicaid. You apply through your local welfare office (of whatever county you live in). So that, right there, will alleviate your worry about medical care. That said, you need to have a serious, sit-down conversation with your boyfriend, inform him that laying around is no longer an option and he needs to get out and get a job, even if it's flipping burgers at Burger King. And then, even if he won't do that, there are STILL resources available to you so that you can keep and raise your child. This is new and scary territory for you. I encourage everyone to research their options fully, but you've all ready said you want to parent this child and have stated the most of the problem is financial. Finances can change... quickly. Ask if you need help finding your local resources. We will do our best.

You shouldn't have any problem getting medicaid in the state of Ga.I also live in Ga. and there are pregnancy centers all around that have some services that are free, and alot of them hold free parenting classes and you get rewards for going to them( like free diapers, formula, maternity clothes, baby clothes.) You should really check into your local county pregnancy resource center they even give you a carseat with the parenting classes. You just found out so take your time looking at all of your resources and options before you make up your mind. Good luck
