I was also born in July, 1962, but in Northern Virginia (not far from the MD border).
I haven't found my birthmother yet, but I haven't been looking for very long, so I'm still hopeful. I have a very sweet search angel helping me. If you don't have your non-ID information yet, you may want to start there (assuming that MD will let you have that). It gave us a lot of information to work with.
All the best to you. If you want to compare notes, etc., you can always PM me.
Cheryl
Cheryl,
Thanks for posting. How do you go about getting the non-identifying information?? The only information I have is what the agency told my adoptive parents years ago. My birth mother was 15 and a twin, not much to go on but better than nothing I guess.
Thanks for your response,
Linda

Below is courtesy of the searchguru! Thanks Colleen!!
I was adopted through Fairfax County in VA, and got my non-ID info. from them. It sounds like from below you may have to go through the agency in the first instance, and then through the state if that does not work. Good luck!

I was born in Jackson county Missouri. July 22 1962.
I was at an attorneys home in Kansas City, Missouri area at the age of 8 months. I have no knowledge of why I was at the attorneys home. My adopteed parents first saw me there, and was able to take me home directly. My adopted mother told me I had a bad cold, and was in clothes that were too small. I did not like to be held. My adopted parents would have to always stand or walk with me to stop my crying. My adopted parents surname is Sadler.
Looking for any information about birth family. Do not have any access to any information about my birth parents or my name at birth.
