domestic adoption

We had some initial problems, but otherwise we are pretty happy with ours. Happy, healthy baby, I got to be in the delivery room, we see birthfamilies often and everything is fine. It was 9 months from initial paperwork to placement. Finalization took place 6 months later.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! We did a private domestic adoption and had a wonderful experience all the way through. We met our birthmother through a friend of a friend three months before our daughter was born. We got to build a great relationship with "E" her birthmother and her extended family as well as be in the delivery room. Our attorney was wonderful and everything went very smoothly.

My husband and I adopted domestically 18 years ago and it was a positive experience. We went through the Project Adoption Agency. I do not think the Agency is open at this time. We applied and 9 months later our daughter was born. Our daughter is 18 now and she has just graduated from high school. She is will attend college this fall. She has met her bmom and other bfamily members. She located them last year when she was 17. Everything has been positive.
