Hi Everyone, so we had submitted our home study for a sibling set an 8 y/o boy, and 9 y/o girl. We never heard back from their county worker. Our social worker even asked after 3 weeks if they would just let her know what it was that caused us not to be a "match" to which she received no response. So now its been almost a month and another sibling set 3 little adorable boys, we submitted our home study on Monday, and this county worker let our social worker know on Tuesday that she received it and that she would let her know if she wanted to meet us. My question is how long did every one usually wait to hear back that they want to meet you? Should I be worried if I haven't heard anything in a week?

Hi everyone! Just thought I would share a quick update, we had our conference call on the 11th it went very well as we heard more about the boys and they were able to ask us questions. We heard back the next day that they want to meet us! They narrowed it down from 3 families now to just 2, us and someone else so we will be meeting the boy's team on March 11th to hopefully be officially matched with them! I am so nervous and excited! Will update after our meeting... hopefully it will be good news!

So we had our meeting on the 11th. They told us during the meeting that we would know in a week or two which family they picked. Well the next day our social worker got a call from them telling them that they loved us and had picked us. So we officially are going to have 3 little boys! We are scheduling a day for collaterals and then we get to meet our little ones! I can not wait!!!

We have our final collateral meeting on April 1st with the oldest's therapist, their teachers and doctor. We will be giving their worker a life book we made for my husband and me with our pictures, pictures of our house, cats, parents, siblings, work and so on. It also does have text to allow them to get to know a little about us. Then they said they would like to have us meet them within 1 to 2 days so anxiety doesn't build. As far as transition time they are going on whatever the therapist recommends on the 1st so we shall see... hopefully it's not too long cause we are so ready to bring our boys home! Plus foster mom is so burnt out and want's them gone I have a feeling that it will be sooner rather than later!

So we had our collateral's today and I am very happy to share that we will actually be meeting the boy's on the 17th and getting them for a 3 day weekend. So we get them for Easter! Can't wait! At this point they will think we are just doing respite which they are used too... this way we can get used to each other and then closer to the end of the school year they will let them know we are their forever family and then we will get them May 30th for good!
