Is your agency located in your home state?

There was a posting that this was a new requirement but, at least with the agency Iused which is in Ca, it is not true. However, my hs agency was in my home state.

I am using adoption alliance and they have told me that there is a new requirement in Kyrgyzstan that states the placing agency not just the homestudy agency has to be in the same stat as the adopting parents. They are allowing all of the families past a certain point in the game to finish their adoptions, but are not taking any more out of state families. There is probably a way to circumvent this requirement that other agencies know of and are doing - but Adoption Alliance is not. I am not sure of the details. It seems that none of the other agencies have instituted this policy.
