So with next weekend being Mothers Day, and my first full year in reunion, I have the daunting task of cards and gifts for my mother, my birth mother, and my 2 mother in laws...
So it got me to thinking of Mothers and of Mothers Days gone by.
What was the best/worst gift you can remember getting or giving for Mothers Day?
So far I have not really received any bad gifts but I do remember one year making a pin cushion in the shape of a heart with some lace or something on it for my mom...and she did not even sew. But to this day she has it in her keepsake box.
What is is one thing your mother did with you that you swore you would do differently with your kids? Did you do it just the way your mom did?
My mom, who is an awesome woman let me add, was not a very emotionally outspoken person, and I very rarely heard.." I love you" from her. I always said I would make sure I told my kids that at least once a day, especially when I was angry or frustrated with them. And I do.
What is the best piece of motherly advise that you have been given?
When it feels like it gets to be too much...it is perfectly alright to put yourself in time out too!
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there!:flowergift: You are all special and loved!

I got one from my DS that made me laugh then and still makes me laugh. I was on chemotherapy at the time which was rough. Really rough. Anyway, DS made me a hand-made card out of pink construction paper that said "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!" on the front, surrounded by dancing syringes. Still makes me laugh. :)
