Does anyone have any info on adoption recertification in AZ? We were certified in 3/05 for adoption only, got a placement in 2/06 and recertified in 10/06. We are finally finalizing our adoption this month and talked to our case worker about trying for one more after the finalization. Our case worker just informed us that the state only allows one recertification and then you have to start the whole process over. It has taken us 35 months to get this far. We chose this route because we wanted a toddler to be closer in age to our bio son who was 5 at the time. And the original case worker we met with told us that it would be quick since we didn't want a baby. We have since learned otherwise but thought since now that we were already certified that this time it really would be quicker. Should we just give up and save for a private adoption? Are private adoptions only for babies or can you try for an older child? This is so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grr: :grr:
