Our application is finally complete. I just realized after reading several posts...I'm months away from mommyhood. This is serious. It's not maybe IUI crap...this is the real deal. How do you manage the freaking out stage? Are there books about this?
hahaha you're right! This isn't IUI crap! lol That's the cutest thing I've heard since TTC/adoption lol! ;)
I'm sure there are books, but relax! Enjoy this time...this is your "pregnancy" :)

You're right!!! Parenthood is serious. Enjoy the next few months as a couple. Life is about to change . . . in MANY POSITIVE WAYS!!!
Boy, this is ALL the truth, honey! Let me just say, the months ahead.....ARE your pregnancy AND LABOUR! Don't let ANYONE Tell you that 'adoption is easier than birth'...because the 'freaking out' and the 'pushing' is a heck of a lot longer and harder than any birthing experience, I dare say!!!!
My best to you for a VERY SHORT wait!!!! :)
Sincerely,
Linny
Hang in there! Yes, this is very your "pregnancy." My mom said I should have worn maternity clothes!:p Do enjoy the time before the baby. It's a whirlwind once that call comes in!
We spent months in homestudy limbo- by that I mean we started our homestudy then my husband had to teach a class that conflicted with the classes our agency needed us to take to complete our homestudy process. All that said as soon as our profile was completed we were chosen by a birthmother immediately- a dream match! Anyhow, in those months I bought lots of baby stuff. Whenever I thought about our pending adoption I bought baby clothes 0-3, 3-6, 6-9... I'm not kidding. Gear, lots of neat baby gear, and toys. That's pretty much how I entertained myself and made myself happy about the wait. Actually, I'm so glad I did it because like I mentioned, as soon as our profile was complete, a birthmother due in a week chose us and I was totally prepared... well, with baby stuff anyhow. For motherhood? Well... I picked that up along the way lol.
All the best :)
Dawn
