Was your adoption finalized in Hawaii? If so, you can contact the state 808-5482211 and request they do a search via a confidential intermediary.

Records are open for adoptees in Alaska (lucky you!). The phone # is 907-4653191. I did find my birthparents after a 20 year search. Good luck.

Hi,
Well reunions vary greatly so its hard to say what will happen. A good idea is to read the various posts so you have an idea (good, bad, indifferent reunion). Also if you can find the stages of reunion to help you understand how things may or may not progress. Once you have their names, I do subscribe to several sites which may help in locating them and I would be more than happy to help or point you in the right direction.

Well, once you have your original bcert (OBC) you will have lots of information to work with. When you have it I can pm you several (free) finder sites along with some that have both free and pay areas. Plus I live in Hawaii so I may be able to help on this end (since you were born here).
