Hi everyone! I rarely post in this section, although DH and I, as well as our son, are Catholic.
We are beginning the research phase for our second adoption. We still are undecided on whether we will adopt domestically or internationally, so we are exploring both right now.
Anyways, I am curious if anyone has adopted through Catholic Charities. I am assuming it is different in each diocese, but I would like to hear others' experiences (through pm of course). We did not use them for our son's adoption.
Did they provide ample support for the emom and the prospective aparents?
What was the wait time (for any race/sex infant 0-12 months)?
Fees?
Thanks in advance.
We were going to go through the Dallas Diocese Catholic Charities, but then we moved out of the area. You could only go through them if you lived in the diocese.
But I do remember the fees--it was $10,000 plus 10%of your combined income.

It's different everywhere, because they all operate independently. I'll pm you.
Hello!
My husband and I are using Catholic Social Services. We are about midway through the homestudy and it should be complete the end of next month. But, so far our adoption specialist is SUPER!! This is our first adoption and we have a TON of questions and she has been there and answered each one!
We love CSS and they treat us very well!
