Health of Adoptive Parents

Hi all, I read somewhere where a family was denied to adopt from Bulgaria because the father had "light diabetes". If middle aged adoptive parents have high cholestral, high blood pressure or diabetes, taking medication and under drs. care, will the government will deny their request? Obviously, I don't want to wait 1-2 years only to get denied because of health issues. :hissy: Any one have any thoughts? Thanks !
