Hi, I am new to this site and glad to have found it....I have a unique case where I brought my now wife and Step son to the US on a Fiance Visa and they have been with me for a little under a year....They are originally from El Salvador and my step son is 6.....He has never met his bio father and he bio dad is not listed on his birth certificate,. We are in the process of getting them there residency but in the meantime I will like to start the process of Step parent adoption as I am the only father he has known(since Age 3).....He has always called me Dad and we plan on keeping that way. I would like to adopt him and have him take my Last name...What Steps do I need to take in order to proceed? I appreciate your help....
