I found this quote...
It is often said that something may survive of a person after his death if that person was an artist and put a little of himself into his work. It is perhaps in the same way that a sort of cutting taken from one person and grafted onto the heart of another continues to carry on its existence even when the person from whom it had been detached has perished.
~ Marcel Proust
My mother and father raised me, I was not adopted. But, I still miss my parents. I'm sad that "R" will never get to know his grandmother who loved him so very much. He has her hair and the same mischievious smile. I see my mother in my son ... I love them both so much.
Oct 27 is the anniversary of her death, and we buried her on the 31st. If spirits walk the earth on All Souls' Day, then I hope a couple of my favorites stop by to visit both "R" and me, and the children I raised.
Here's to you, Mom and Dad... Happy Halloween!
Love,
Susan

I swear my mom found my bson first..
Mom died and I asked her to help me find him..
On his first birthday (after reunion) I gave him an etching my mom did in art school... a very long time ago..
They had it on their mantlepiece when I went for a visit..
I could see my mom grinning..
I am sorry for your loss.. and I also wish my mom had of been alive when I found him..
I remember they drove all over Miami looking for the agency when I decided to put my letter 'open for contact' in his file..
