Please Help! Vietnam agency recommendations?

Doesn't anyone have any information? Right now, we are seriously considering: 1. PLAN 2. Mandala 3. Los Ninos 4. Adoptions from the Heart Has anyone used any of these? Do you know anything or have you heard anything about them? PLEASE PM me--we are desperate for knowledge!

You can always use the agency list to pm others about how they liked the agency they listed. If you do not see the agencies you are interested in on the Vietnam section look at other countries to see their listings. This is what I did and it proved very helpful. Hope this helps!

I am in the same position - finding an agency. I liked Mandala initially, but they make you pay the agency fee when you submit your paperwork (that's ok). However, according to their contract, they make you pay the in-country fee (about $12,000) when your dossier is sent to VN. All of the other agencies I've spoken with collect the in-country fee at time of referral. I don't want an agency holding my in-country fee for months and months while I hope to get a referral, hope the agency doesn't go out of business, hope VN doesn't shut down, hope that nothing happens and we can complete the adoption - you get the picture. To me, this is not a good way to do business - where they hold your money and you just wait. On the other hand, I did get e-mails from many satisfied clients of theirs who weren't bothered by this. I think Los Ninos makes you wait a year if you turn down a referral. Not all of the agencies make you wait this long. I think they don't let you choose gender either. Plan - doesn't let you choose gender. AFTH - 18 month wait if you want a girl
