Just to let everyone know, IT DOES HAPPEN!! We just accepted a referral of a 3 month old boy from Vietnam. He is SOOOO cute! We don't know when we'll travel b/c of the new i-600 rules... anyone know much about this? So far, we've had to send in 2 MORE copies of our NEW i-600 to our agency...

Congrats big time! From what I am hearing it should not really delay the travel time. It will also cut out the first INS visit in Vietnam and alleviate the unknows of family's occasionaly going into investigation known as DOID's. I think though it is a wait and see with the new process. I know families over there now are having some hard times and have been there for over 3 weeks trying to work with old vs new process. But hopefully by the time you travel all will be well.

Hi and congratulations. I am just visiting from the China site but am thinking of switching to Vietnam. I do not want to wait for years for our last child. Can you give me any information on the process compared to China? Our last daughter was adopted from Wuhan in october 2005 and is just a joy. Now we are thinking of switching to Vietnam, so her little sister is not that much younger than her.
Thank you
