12/12/07Dearest Rebecca,It is that special time of year when I celebrate you! Happy Birthday beautiful girl (I know you are a woman now but in my eyes youll always be my little girl)! Today you are 20. I canҒt believe it!I find myself sitting and wondering where you are in your life. So many questions yet unanswered. In Gods time I pray that they may someday no longer be a mystery. So much has happened in my life this past year. I have truly given my life to the Lord. I have placed all my worries at his feet and he has been so good to me. He has given me the courage to write a letter of forgiveness to my father. That is the biggest thing. I have waited so long to feel at peace with my emotions regarding my dad. Thank God I can close that chapter and begin a new book. I pray that you have learned forgiveness. It really makes the world a better place!I am still waiting (trying patiently) for God to heal me of the pain of losing you. My first born baby girl, how precious you are to me. I pray that your new family has been good to you and that you are happy with your life.On this your birthday, I celebrate that you are a part of my world. Even though we are not together physically, know that you are and always will be in my heart. I love you so much more than you will ever know.I pray that God will grant you joy, contentment but most of all inner peace. Today may you feel that you are right where you are supposed to be and today may you feel that you are loved unconditionally. Happy Birthday honey! I hope you have a great day!All my love and God bless,Your birthmother xo

My thoughts are with you and Rebecca.
(Eccl 11:1-6 NIV)
Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again.
I read that on a statue in the Boston Commons.. a long time ago.. I had not found my bson at that point and I was in a place like the place you are in now..
But my bson did find me and when he did I thought of that bible quote.
