I am looking for my half sister. I know very little about her, in fact today I just learned that I have been searching for her in Ohio when she was born in Indiana. My mother was cast away from her family during the pregnancy and endured much pain and suffering from her mother and father during that time in her life and has never really talked about her pregnancy or the adoption to me or my brothers or even my father, so I know very little about it all.
All I know is that she was sent to a home for unwed mothers probably a Baptist home (which I am researching) and that my sister was born in 1979. I assume she would be short with brown hair blue eyes. I would like to meet her and get to know her but I have to do it sort of on the down low because I dont know how my mother is going to react to my curiosity in fear that she may not be ready to have this brought up. Not because she doesnt want to meet or know her but she said that she promised to not look her up and that she wanted to wait and see if my sister would find her. I however would like to meet her asap, if at all possible.
If anyone knows what I can do as far as being discrete about this situation and how not to go through a whole boat load of paper work that may end up getting back to my mother, please let me know how I can make this possible.
Thank you all
Now I have to go change all my misinformation:coffee:
