Since this person had been away serving time, I met my husband, which he has been in the illigitimate childs life since she was almost 2. She will be 4 yrs old soon. My husband now wants to adopt her, I agreed. Biological father is out of prison and on parole for 18 months. He is contesting the adoption. My husband and I already have an official letter from Division of Children Family Services, that they recommend that this child be adopted by my husband. Our adoption pre-trial coming up shortly. Any advice ~ I would love to hear from you!

I used it because it is the correct definition of my situation. It certainly was not used to degrade my daughter or myself. All I am searching for is maybe some internet support by others possibly in a similar situation. Please do not respond if you cannot help.
