Hi Friends,
My DH had a massive heart attack at home Monday night. He has had heart surgery to fix one valve and will be having another surgery today or tomorrow for the worst of the two valves. He literally fell out on the floor and I had to call the paramedics.
My son has been very upset and I ask that you pray primarily for him. He did not understand what all those "doctors" were doing to his Daddy in our house (they had to work on him a while before transport). Now he does not understand why Daddy can not come home.
DH is critical but stable. The next surgery will be critical.
I will check in again when I am able but it will be a few days.
Love to you all,
Christie
You have been in our prayers for a year. I will add your family to our church prayer chain at oour next meeting.
Keep strong!

Daddysangel - it truly is amazing when you can get some sleep and I PRAY HARD you will be able to get PLENTY - even if just for one day.
My DH is still sick but I have realized some amazing things through this ordeal:
I have some positive feelings for my DH which I had not previously realized.
I have a terrific, wonderful, loving, supportive group of friends and coworkers for whom I am even MORE thankful.
My son is even more bonded to his Daddy than I had realized.
I am more bonded to DH than I had realized.
Sleep is a wonderful thing which can help change the way you think.
I have handled this crisis with grace and dignity and much better than I would have thought possible.
I am able to handle life events that are hard an seem impossible - except when talking about the contested adoption. That seems to be the only thing right now which is more than I can bear.
MAYBE prayers help ... I have begun to mull that one.
And to all of you who have posted, PMd, e-mailed, and called - you are so much a part of my strength and hope.

Hi Friends,
My DH is having another heart surgery today. We are hoping for cath with three stints - but they may have to do open heart.
Seems like a lot happens at one time. Last week I was out with the flu. Then my son caught it. Then mine turned into bronchitis with a sinus infection and ear infection (still taking medicaine for this) and Tuesday the school called me at work saying my son's temp was 104 and he was vomiting. I am feeling a better although I still sound bad - my son is still very sick and woke up this morning again vomiting and with a high fever.
They might as well just admit us all into the same hospital as my husband and give us a family room - or at least a family rate LOL.
Although - I am actually handling all of this well. It is tough - but it is just life and these things happen. I deal quite well with "life" - but I am still not dealing well with the court stuff. It is as though all is well - even through the hard times - until it comes to the court case and then I am a basket case. I do NOT deal well with that. I guess I consider that as being so NOT part of "life" that it sends me reeling.
Love and ((HUGS)),
Christie

If he is still having resperatory problems as well, get him to the emergency room ASAP. His flu may have turned into pneumonia. Vomiting and high fever are symptoms of bacterial pneumonia, a very dangerous, vicious form of it.
My husband's second heart surgery was unsuccessful. They are sending him to a major heart trauma unit which is several hours away.
I did take my son to the emergency room, and then twice more to the doctor. He finally went back to school yesterday.
I am still coughing and sound bad but actually feel much better. Today is my first day back at work and I have a lot of catch-up to do before my DH's next heart surgery. Then I will be away again for a while.
In the meantime I am thinking of you guys and praying for resolution in a blessed and peaceful way.
Thank you for being my friends.

Just wanted to let you know that we are finally back home. DH was sent to the biggest University Hospital in the state. He had the best heart surgeon. His surgery went very well and we just got back home.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support. We are hopeful that with a few days rest my DH will be up and around.
