Hi all, I'm searching for my maternal grandmother's birth parents for my mom - she would just love to know who her mom's real parents were. My grandmother's name is Violet and she was born June 11, 1913, probably somewhere near Sugar Creek Venango County PA. By the 1920 census she had been "adopted" (never legally) by Laverne H. and Ellizabeth C. Peffer. All my mom was ever told was that her mom's parents died in the big flu epidemic. She thinks the surname might be Flaherty or something similar of Irish decent, but all my searches turn up nothing. I also know she had an older (2-3 years?) brother but don't know his name. If anyone knows anything or how I can continue my search, I would be so grateful! Thanks, Deb
