Karen and Dpen got into it a bit today and it's fine. Just keep watch.
Karen pm'd me to say she wants the thread closed and I have declined that request. Generally we'll grant this request, but this thread is long and has been actively discussed by many. Karen wants it closed because she doesn't like what Dpen has to say and doesn't want to argue with her anymore. In this case, I don't feel it's necessary to close the thread and I've told her she can take herself out of the discussion if she wishes to do that but I"m leaving it open. She starts a lot of discussion threads that can be controversial and needs to realize they may not all go the way she feels they ought to.
Rainey - if she pm's you to close the thread, please let me know.
I will be gone all day so if other people can keep an eye on it, that would help. I have to take this 8 hour class before my surgery in March and class is two hours away. Karen is always posting controversial topics, I have gotten to the point when I cringe when I see a new thread by her, most of the time they just die or people ignore them. This topic is more inflamatory than most as it's such an emotional one for parents. I have been trying not to post on it anymore, I only gave in twice. LOL

There is also another one in Russia, it's called Attachment issues - no flames please or something, it's stirred up the old day care vs. Stay at home mom thing. Keep an eye on that too.
All right the original thread is still going on and I messed up and posted so now someone else will have to come in and moderate, it may need to be closed and I should not be the one who did it or I will be accused of bias.
It's okay...:) I'm hoping it dies soon though. If it gets heated again, I'll close as it really has reached the point of "The poor horse is mutilated and dead dead DEAD!";)
