I have been the foster parent to two children for the past three years. My adoption of them is final now. They have a younger brother who's 20 months old.
In april of 2007 the birth parents singed consent to adopt for my two as well as the baby brother. The consents were directly to me. CPS had a dependancy in place, however, acknowledged the papers and still severed rights to the parents before allowing me to adopt.
CPS has placed younger brother back with bio parents on a "trial basis".
here's my question. If CPS steps out of the dependency are my adoption consent's still valid. I know in Arizona they are irrevocable, so it would stand to reason that regardless of weither the parents get him back temoprarly or CPS severs he will be going to me. I'm just not sure how to proceed. Other than shelling otu $20,000 to an attorney that may not even be needed.
