I just wanted to drop a line to introuduce myself! My DH & I are in our homestudy process to adopt a child from Colombia. We are very excited about it and I look forward to the company of everyone while we are waiting for our referral. We first decided to adopt from Colombia back in March. We selected an agency, which in the end did not get their Hague accrediation. Which we found out after we had turned in our application. In the mean time we started our home study and selected another agency. I have tentatively selected an agency and our home study will be finished in a week or so. So now the process starts! I really appreciate all the support that everyone will bring over the next couple of months! I hope everyone is having a great week!

We are in the beginning process of this journey too!! There are a few recent posts of people just starting out so hopefully we can keep each other posted, celebrate the small steps...and support each other in the long wait!

Our dossier was submitted to ICBF just two weeks ago in hopes of adopting an older sibling group.
We also have two precious children whom we adopted in 2005 and 2006 from Ayudame in Bogota who are now 2 and 3 years old.
