DS is 11 months old.
He likes:
A small basketball (it's about the size of a Cantelope)
Leapfrog music table has a little keyboard etc.
Old MacDonald Truck
We have this puzzle, very vintage, trucks with those little red knobs on each piece. He likes to take them out and throw them
Pulling out our cable box and disconnecting it :hissy:
I want him to do more imaginative play. Any ideas for his age?
DD is 15 months.
Her favorite toys are that same VTech activity table, any ball she can get her hands on, our dogs, a rubber duck she has with pressure points that make it light up, her pink fleece elephant that plays music, our phone, did I say the dogs?
Really, I think the imaginations are there. DD is currently in love with our wind tower fan. (The kind she can't get her fingers into). She pulls herself up to it, gets her face in the breeze, laughs and "falls" down like it pushed her. She'll literally do this for half and hour and end up laughing so hard she can't get up.
It seems like imagination to me. Either that or my child is going to be a storm chaser.
Oh, and anything can be a phone. If she's holding a spatula and I ask her who's there, she'll put it to her ear.

DS is 2-1/2 years old.
Rocking horse, blocks, play food, lacing beads, and his stuffed animals are his favorites. Oh, and his "bikes" - tricycles and ride ons.
my boys are 12 and almost 9. for both of them, their favorite toy is and has been for some time now, Bionicles.
My daughter, also 12 has announced she is no longer interested in toys. She gave almost all her Barbie's and Bratz to our former foster daughter when she left.
DS is 26 months. And he likes planes, trains and automobiles. Yes, it's true.
DD is 4 years. She loves any kind of animal figures, her bike, anything she can use to dig in sand and/or dirt and it is even better with water added to either, and her baby doll. And her toolbox.
Joshie just turned a year old July 9th...he is starting to look at board books that make sounds, the kind where to the side of the book is a thing with different sounds and music.
He also likes these plastic animal things that will snap together...he loves playing in his bath with these; he hasn't quite figured out how to put them together, though he loves taking them apart.
For his bday, someone got him a mini Fisher Price vacuum that you push and it plays music and lights up and stuff, he doesn't push it yet, but plays with all the doo-hickies on it.
He also likes his Kiss Me Elmo...and I always hear that thing going off when he is in bed through the baby monitor. He also has other stuffed things that play songs and the like.
Bradley is 11 and is into mythology; he can name all the Greek and Roman and some Egyptian even, gods and goddesses. He is really into any books that are about mythology. He also loves Guitar Hero and Rock Band (video games) and I don't mind that he plays these because they are teaching him about music. He likes his piano lessons during the school year and has learned a lot of rhythyms from the video games. He also likes being outside, riding his bike, or throwing the football around. This fall will be his first year of tackle football (last year was flag football). My babies are sure growing!
Blessings, Michelle

My son is now 17 months and Cars, cars and more cars are his favorite, it does not matter which one as long as it has 4 wheels and drives. His walk bike, the dog, the cats. Spot the dog. The books, Mr Brown can moo, a book about cars and cars and more cars, Big bear little Bear.
Anything that is a phone or looks like one like the remote.
He has a lot of imagination and anything can become a toy.
Parker's favorite toys at 8 months are the money counting piggy bank and the Leap Frog music table.
Nick's favorite toys at 2.5 years are anything trains and cars, his fire fighting hose and blocks.
She is 14 months and cannot get enough of the big red ball I bought. She loves to see it bounce, loves crawling after it and throwing it and making it roll. She loves playing with almost anything that spins, throw it or hit at it and watch it spin. She also loves to stand and shake long pieces of cloth in each hand while giggling hilariously. She likes holding books and trying to turn the pages. I bought alot of conventional toys, but she finds her own "toys" that she likes the most.
