INDY Adoption

Hello!!! We were researching for adoption in Ukranine because it allows independet adoptions. However, I'm hispanic (from Venezuela), and I was wondering if we can go INDY in Colombia. I have read a lot of the requirements, and I also understand that we may need a lawyer to help us at the court. But.. do we really need an agency in USA? Is that a Hague requirement? I am capable of speaking Spanish (fluently), have very close friends in Colombia. We will not need a translator in Colombia, transportation/accomodations can be provided by friends. They can even get us name of lawyers and contact with the casas overthere! So, has anybody done it? :cheer: Thanks! :cheer: Nancy
