Hi all! I am just beginning this adoptive journey and I could use all the help I could get. My husband and I recently entered into an independent adoption and the birthmom changed her mind after pressure from her family. After the initial shock, I have decided to do whatever it takes to find another available situation. At his point, we're a bit "Raising Arizona" about adoption. I can think of nothing else. Any suggestions any of you have for finding and engaging in a private adoption, please let me know. Agencies are out of the question. We have a modest income, but not enough to pay the $20-30k these places want to place a baby. Likewise, international is out as well. We are going to go through DCF starting tomorrow, so suggestions for that would be welcomed also. Thanks in advance!:thanks:
