Ok little C is 3.5 months. He has a strong "feet like" smell to the back of his head & to him. He also sweats. A lot! I keep him cool, but he starts sweating when he cries, etc etc. He just has this feet smell to him....I DEFINETELY have to give him a bath every other day.
Anyone else find this? Not sure if it's something i have to worry about...or just vent about! LOL
I'll take him stinky or not of course, and he will be my boo boo no matter what he smells like!!

I don't know if this applies to you and since I'm not a health care professional please know that this is only a Mom to Mom response; OK? My twins (now 16year olds) developed strong feet/ vinegar/ sweaty like smells any time they got a minor infection like an ear infection or even a cold. It got so bad that even before they started the ear pulling or constant crying I "knew" based on the smell. They also sweated a lot with fevers.
As soon as I read your post I wanted to respond because I remembered the smell as soon as you described it. IMO you should at least call your Dr. or a local hospitals Nurse line and run it by them; I have a 1 month old and I just believe that anything that causes me concern needs to be looked in to; they are just so defenseless, you know. Best wishes...Tracy

That makes sense because he has had a cold!! Come to think it has gotten better since he has gotten better (which is why I havent' called my dr on it yet). Thanks! I will bring it up with him in my next conversation!!
Whenever he sweats, sprinkle a little bit of Gold Bond medicated baby powder on him...behind his neck in the folds and under his arms and some in his diaper. That should eliminate some of the odor.
I remember back in nursing school (sometime during the Ice Age) someone saying certain odors do mean certain things...so the poster above referring to their twins is spot on. Good luck!
Blessings, Michelle
Cameron sweats a LOT. It drips off his head while he sleeps. For him, it's a sign of possible heart failure. :( However, I don't think you need to worry to that extent. Hope it's something easy to figure out!
I do remember DS going through a period of smelly sweaties where I bathed him nearly everyday. I think it was around 3 or 4 months but come to think of it, it was around that time when the nasty cold and flu virus from heII swept our house. (I remember because it was around Christmea that year) Anyway, it did pass and all was well, although that kiddo sure had some stinky feet this summer!
And on a separate note - is ds a bit hush hush? This is the first time I see you have another C! CONGRATS!!!!! Although I haven't been on much since we found out about dd and she came home, so I just may have missed something. Anyway, that is so awesome, so happy for you! Things must be busy with the two boys though...

LOL - thanks! No he isn't hush, I just took a break from everything to clear my head to get ready for another adoption, and then BAM it happened!! I didn't really want to post a whole post since I haven't been around in a while...Thank you though!! We are so happy with them, and boy is it hectic with two under two but man am I enjoying these days!!
Try to consult you local doctor.!! Although its very common to small babies...Anyways Thanks for sharing..!!!
