My heart is aching!
Last night I polished our nails and drew a heart on one of our nails and a moon on the other, and told them to look at them during the day, because it meant mommy loved them to the moon and back. I also made them picture books for them to have during the day.
Both girls were so excited this morning. Sunshine had not trouble, she just walked right in and started playing and going down the indoor slide, but shes familiar with the teachers and room, as she just transferred to the 2-3 yo room and she would visit the room often.
Here is where my heart begins to break. My Sweetie Pie was a different story, first day in this school. She was okay at first, but once she realized that she was staying, she broke down and cried. She grabbed on to me and wouldnҒt let go. She begged me with tears in her eyes to not leave her. I told her I loved her and that I would pick her up in the afternoon, that I will always come back to get her. She watched me walk away; she had a helpless and tearful look on her face. I walked away in tears! Heck Im still in tears as I type this.
I just called one of my friends whose child also goes to her classroom and she said that my Sweetie Pie was still crying for her mommy. Җ That was hour after I dropped her off. Why do they have to go to school??? Why do they have to grow up?????
Should I go get her during lunch and bring her back with me? I could go during their nap time to see her, but Iݒm afraid what it could do to her.
:hissy: :hissy: :hissy: I hate this feeling!!!

She did much better this morning, and so did mommy.
She did cry and hug me tight, but it wasn't the desperate, save me from this place kind of thing. From a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst yesterday, she gets a 4 today. Now she tried being so good, because I told her I would buy her her make-up, if she didn't cry. Should I just get it for her, because she did SO much better?
What was the deal? If she didn't cry. She cried. So what I would do is praise her for her great job today..give a hug. Then remind her, that when she's able to go to school without crying she'll get to pick out some "make-up". I am a firm believer in sticking with my word on things like that. Of course, there are times when we "give in"...afterall we all need some "grace" sometimes. But the fact that she DID do better shows you that she is capable of it. So she'll probably be getting her "make up" soon!!!keep your chin up!!!! you'll both be doing great in no time!!! :grouphug:
I am so happy she did better today. I'm not sure I would get her the make up since she did cry. Maybe give her a sticker for doing so much better and keep talking about getting the make up tomorrow if she doesn't cry. Then again pick and choose your battles.:grouphug:

One Happy...I'm sitting here looking at this thread going "awww" at whats been posted. My youngest is only 2 months old and I DO NOT WANT HIM TO GROW UP...EVER!:hissy: You posted: We then went to the store to get her some nail polish. She still wants to keep the heart and moon; we just added a flower. I love this idea.:cheer: Wow how neat, wish I'd have thought of this when my twin girls were younger; (they are almost 17.) I shared it with my S-I-L who has a 3 y.o. daughter and she loves it too. Darn, I wish I could do this but since he's a boy  he might not be as pleased as your Little One's are. Tracy

STRAWBERRY!! - She didn't even give me a kiss first, before she asked about her make-up. It was so good to see her proud of herself and seeing her sweet face as she decided which flavor make-up she wanted.
I'm so happy for my sweetie, and for me too, that was hard. So, yeah, Maricela I've stopped crying.
Isa- We're gonna miss the 2 of you!
