I went and got tickets to go the McCain/Palin rally here in my area for Wednesday. I am so excited and nearly cried, yes, I am THAT enthusiastic about my candidate. I so want to take my kids because I want them to be a part of this. However, it is going to be 40 here in Ohio and there is no way I can have Mikayla out in that. Alec, he can do it. SO...how long did you wait in line to get in. Doors open two hours before the event but it's outside. If the doors open at 12:30 what time should we be there? I really want to do it but the logistics are getting in the way. UGH. I have been watching and waiting for them to come here and they will BOTH be here so I am thrilled. Now they are coming and it's a day my hubby can't go. My mom is going with me. Fill me in and OH..I don't want to hear about being a McCain supporter. You won't in any way, shape, or form change my mind on that. I am a VERY conservative Republican and always have been and so is my hubby. This thread is not about that...it's about what you dealt with while waiting for/going to a rally...and if it was worth it...I sure think it will be but I want opinions.
Thanks!
That sounds awesome! I'd love to go to a rally but it seems like I'm working all the time & McCain wont be coming back to my state. It's always nice to see a fellow conservative on Adoption.com.

My husband went yesterday to see Obama. We are in Orlando. There were 50,000 people. I know he got there early but it took him several hours in line (in the car) to get out of downtown and home. Originally he was planning to take our son because I would not get out of work on time to go and he picks up our son from daycare. I ended up staying home sick yesterday so was able to pick up my son so my husband did not have to bring him. Since there were so many people I am kind of glad it worked out that way. He is only 3 and would have been a very tired boy by the end of the night. I bought him a t-shirt at Childrens Place that says Vote for my Better Tomorrow. Everyone should vote! Go early and plan to be in line. Also no bags were allowed so he would of not been able to bring any snacks for our son. But if you want to go see your candidate the definitely do that!
I got to go to the mother of all rallies...the convention. I was a delegate for my state and was right there, on the floor, for the whole thing. It was amazing.
I went to a Palin rally today!!! Awesome is all I can say. It was very cold outside and I froze my bungy off, but it was worth it. Lines weren't too bad, but this rally was fairly small.
We are rallying for Midnight Madness on Monday. Have been to several other rallies also. They are a good time.

I went to an Obama rally and I desperately wanted to take my kiddos (age 1 and 3). I didn't though, even though my three year old said she really wanted to go. Not taking them was a wise choice. The rally itself would have probably been fine, but the 2 1/2 wait in line would have been a killer. Plus this was on a nice warm day in PA.
