Hi,
I am new here, sort of. I've been reading for some time and I am familiar with many of your stories. I am a mother in open adoption to a teenaged girl who was placed at birth. We have had an open adoption since her placement and things have gone fairly well.
I don't know what I hope to gain from joining, but I thought it was time that I did so.
I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Welcome CalamityJane (love that name!)!! :cowboy:
I'm a birthmother with a grown son in a semi-open adoption, hoping to make it more open (we are still not in reunion yet, but possibly moving in that direction).
Looking forward to reading your posts!
Welcome Jane!! My name is Tara and I'm the bmom to T who will be 9 in February. We have a fully open adoption. My hubby (bdad) and I are also expecting and are due the end of December.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome.
So, are we allowed to post on messages that are not in this forum or are there restrictions about where you can post?
I have seen a few messages in other areas that I might like to comment on, but I wasn't sure if that was appropriate or not.
First, you can post anywhere. Do try and be aware of your audience though. Some are really green and may need to be educated gently.
Second, I am a birthmom in a fully open adoption. (Since his birth) He is now 24! Yep, that's years not months.
BTW, have you ever heard the song Calamity Jane?
