As for recourses, you might try talking with the pastor of your church or a family members church..they usually know of a good family wanting to adopt. Maybe you could call you local social services and they might no of a good family as well. Try talking to friends and family and maybe someone they know might be interrested in raising this child. My husband and I have started searching again and we have chosen to spread the word through friends and family. So far we haven't had any leads yet, but I am sure that when the time is right we will match up with someone special. I know that Social services does complete background checks before placing a child for adoption with a family...We are foster parents as well, so it helps knowing what all adoptive families have to go through first. stay in touch with me and I will try to help...where are you located?
