Hey hon. I just looked at them as in the four years I have been working with Taiwan I have not heard of this group. I didn't see a TAiwan program in their INternational program list. Am I missing something? I would caution you though that if they haven't been talked about and are known in the main circles they are new and new right now is not a good thing as the already heavily established agencies are having problems getting referrals for one reason or another. Your best bet is to just contact the agency you are researching and ask them which orphanage they work with. I would also ask how long of a standing relationship with Taiwan and this orphanage they have. I have actually had people email me to ask about a certain group and I would go to check them out.. call to ask a question to confirm my thoughts and they had already closed the program for whatever reason. Anyways, please be careful while searching the agencies. Ask plenty of questions and check those answers with other parents that have been in the loop for years. If you need places to go and talk that are steeped in knowledge let me know. Sarah k

Thank you Sarah!Children's home society has a Taiwan program that is a pilot program for them, they only refer special needs and older children from their waiting child list. I was just curious if anyone had heard where their referals are from.I am adopting a beautiful 4 year old girl from Taiwan! We are expecting to travel soon! The only reason I was wondering about Children's home society is that we may want to have an option for our next adoption adventure! I prefer to adopt from a waiting child list vs. wait for referal. This is all a little premature since we are still waiting for our sweet girl to come home from Taiwan. Call it a little dreaming on my part :)Take care!p.s. I have visited your blog, and visit the yahoo group often!I hope you can bring your sweet boy home soon!
No problem and congrats.. do you have a blog? I watch a ton of blogs and would like to follow you. We are waiting to get Josiah from Taiwan and have our Jeremiah who has been home over 2 years now. If they are doing older children and SN there is a huge chance that they are foster care... I can't mention on here what orphanage they would be working with but it would be one of two main stream placing orphanages in Taiwan or through foster care.
