1975 D.C. Catholic Charities St, Ann's BM needs ideas

With the use of his non id info and Ameridex birth index,found my B son a few weeks ago. I wrote to him and he has responded favorably about meeting me but he would understandibly like confirmation that I am indeed his birthmom first. He called CC as I suggested thinking that they would at least confirm the presence of a letter waiving confidentiality in his file that I placed there when he turned 18, hoped that if he told them that I had contacted him as his birthmom that they would go ahead and confirm. At first he was told that they would if he sent them proof of ID which he faxed immediately. Then he was told basically sorry, you need to pay for them to pull his record and to petition the court to get confirmation. GRRRRRRRRR. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe if we both sign the petition to the DC Court they will verify without having to go through CC?? Think it would do any good for me to call CC?? Anyone ever had success obtaining Baptismal records for DC St. Ann's babies. I think they are at St. Peter's or St. Patrick's in D.C. THANKS for letting me voice my frustrations.:thanks:
