I'm new today and just beginning to realize the actual affect that "being adopted" has had on me. I'm a single mom with a good relationship with (my daughter's) dad. I successfully reunited with both birth parents about 12 years ago. I would just really like to hear from some other people. I don't have an "issue" for you to deal with, just wanna stop feeling all alone ALL the time. I feel invisible, fake, and scared all of the time. I'm so tired of it. I guess I'm asking someone to reach out ... which is quite unusual for me (imagine that).
Hello and welcome Kristin-you are definitely not alone, especially not here. I know how you feel. I am an adoptee reunited with both birth parents and also a birthmom reunited with my daughter after 26 years. I found this site last year and have been so thankful to have it to vent, support others, and knowing that there is a community out there that really does know how I feel and understand where I'm coming from.
Again, welcome to the forums!
