Hi,
I'm Crick and I'm an aparent. I have 3 boys & 1 daughter ages 8 9 11 & 12. I'm addicted to forums, chocolate and pranks. With 4 upcoming teenagers, I will be addicted heavily to wine. I have a sense of humor that gets me in trouble at times. I make fun of my life with adoption sometimes. That also gets me in trouble. In my spare time I like to read, play piano and stalk people in Target wearing a red shirt, khakis and ask them if they found everything okay.
Your turn....

My mom warned me when I placed D for adoption that I might never be able to have other children... Mothers have a way of rushing in where angels fear to tread. (Note to self: remember that with my own children!) Do you think, Anne, that it was her way of saying I want so grandkids that I can "spoil" now. In her own way she may be missing your daughters. I know that doesn't excuse her, but it may explain a little. One of the difficulties of being a parent is that you are not entitled to know their plans! Speaking as the mother of adult children, I am constantly reminding myself to wait until they want to tell me... (I try not to be my mother, who said "When you're 70 and I'm 90, I'll still be your mother and I'll still tell you what to do." She died 13 years ago, and trust me, I still hear her!)

Hey Ya'll
We have been blessed with six months of all the joys children bring. We are all adjusting well after a few bumps and a couple big issues that no one told us about, everyone denied knowing about and then admited they were aware of these things all along. Both kids are enjoying school this year with out a note home from a teacher thus far. ( knock on wood) I still ponder how 2 children with basicily the same life experience can have such different memories and scars from the past. (this is not any different then my own life but I still ponder) These children have taught me so much already. For example with a bit of bribery I can get kids to put their laundry where it goes but I will still have to pick up towels, washclothes and DH dirty socks from time to time. I also learned that we are adopting little boy J and little girl J but "it wasn't me" and "I don't know" also moved into our house.
We are getting ready for christmas hoping Santa will be good to us all. In case I get to busy again Have a happy Christmas

Congrats, in limbo :).I just talked for a few min to my 6 yr. old (soon to be 7 in March) and her amom on FB chat...it was the first time I've talked to them online...it was wild...in a good way...but I was like is my 6 yr. old really that good at typing/talking or is her amom helping her? Anyway, she was telling me about Christmas, a toy from McDonalds she got today, her amom told me she's gettin all girlie and she was putting on make up in the bathroom before she came to talk to me with her mom on the chat. And like the first thing my 6 yr. old said/or was typed from her is that she really wants to see me someday :). So, it was a cool little conversation...I was kinda freakin out going where is someone to tell who will appreciate this on the same level as me...ya know so I decided I had to run over here and tell you all :D.
