Hey all!
I was thinking recently about the "down time" between visits, updates, etc.
I know that, as with most things, when I'm not being active with something I get to feeling like I'm not being productive!
Anyone else feel this way?
What do you do between visits and updates? Work on special projects/gifts for your placed child? Journal? Get a hobby? Write to a penpal?
Let's share what we do or come up with things to do!
Well other than the million hobbies I have and the house that constantly seems to need work.....
Adoption related specifically, I spend time getting pictures together for my next letter and getting my letter ready. I try to write one during the middle of each month. I can usually scrape together at least two pages of stuff my family and I have done.

I know Belle - you're so good with your hobbies!
I was thinking of starting to scrapbook again - not even adoption specific necessarily, just scrapbooking for myself, for gifts, etc., but it's so expensive!
I suppose I fill up plenty of my "between" time with writing and blogging, but sometimes it just doesn't feel enough, you know?
I do some scrapbooking, knitting, counted cross stitch. Started another counted cross stitch. This one is small, as the others were but am almost done them.
Will, they be sent? That depends on them.
Haha Leigh - you and your counted cross stitch! I just remember you having all those started when I was at your place :)
I can knit okay.....and I did make a cross-stitch for Cupcake once - which I do enjoy.
I suppose I just gotta take that step and DO something, haha!

Come on Q! We all know I'm not as talented as you!!!
If I can be honest, I didn't know YOU were as talented as you until I checked out the website!!! I think I said so already, but my office mates and I were amazed at the beautiful work you do!!!
But I suppose I'll take it under advisement ;)
I've been making an afghan for the kid, a cotton one that'd be the right size for a toddler bed. His mom and I also email each other about once a week, which is pretty great.

Well in between our next visits I'll come out and visit you and become a fantabulous quilter ;) (yes, fantabulous IS a word )
Sounds like a plan! Maybe you and Brock should come at the same time? :-) but you're welcome separately as well...
