Hello!
After four miscarraiges, My husband and I began to look in to adoption. 5 months later we were "matched" with a birth mom who was due on April 23rd. We live in WA, and she lives in FL so needless to say, when we got the call on April 8th that she was going in to labor, we had to get moving.
I spent 48 wonderful hours with that baby I thought was going to be mine. Just hours before paperwork was to be signed, our birth mom changed her mind. I was numb with pain. My husband had to drag me away from the hospital.
3 hours later, we got a call from our agency asking us to come back to the hospital to pick up our baby boy. We were in shock! How does this happen? I didn't believe it until I saw this new baby with my own eyes... my son.
He turned three months old yesterday, and I still can't help but look at him in awe. We left for FL with a suitcase of little girl clothes, and came home with a baby boy wrapped in a pink blanket. We are blessed.
Jamie

God has perfect timing. Today I received an email via a friend of a friend of our old SW who has been struggling with infertility. She doesn't feel like adoption is for her at this time. I can't wait to share your blog in addition to this website!!
Fabulous! For me, adoption has been the most perfect, unperfect journey. I HIGHLY recommend it :)
