We are finally home with our newest addition to our family! We had a 4.5 week bonding and it took almost two weeks to get the Polish passport so we were there for a pretty long time. But we are home now and getting adjusted!
A is doing much better than we expected her to do with the transition. We still get temper tantrums but we haven't been bitten or bruised in awhile:) They seem to be more normal 3 year old temper tantrums. Just the other day we were at a restaurant and she jumped in my lap and said "I have Mommy" in Polish and gave me the biggest hug and wouldn't let go. I almost started crying in the restaurant.
We have her opthamologist appointment and her county evaluation this week. The county evaluation will help determine if she will receive any county services for speech, behavior, occupational or physical therapy, etc. My mom has done IEP's for years so she is flying in for the meeting. They are even providing a Polish interpretor for the evaluation.
I tried to attach a picture, we will see if it works!
I didn't see a picture. But I wanted to say congratulations! It's awesome that you have your mom to help with the IEP and an interpreter. We didn't get one cause we are in a small town and no one around speaks Polish!
