Sounds strange, why are you not officially licensed yet? sounds like you have went through all the steps? are you just waiting for it to come? sounds like b.s. to me, i would call and ask her supervisor because if you arent fully licensed you shouldnt be able to be a foster parent and if you are a foster parent then you should get the full payment. please let me know what you find out as i find this very interesting!

Oops, I just now realized their was a reply. I asked my LW about it and he said that everything is done and he's just waiting for my dh's fingerprint results to come back to issue the license. I asked how he could give us kids without a license and he said "that has nothing to do with it". He said it was "completely up to the CW" and that he highly recommended us to the kid's CW so he went with his recommendation. About a week later I called my LW back and asked him where the fingerprints were sent (so I could call and ask them if they had processed them yet). He said he "didn't even know" where they were sent. I know he knows where they go because aside from it being part of his job to know that kind of stuff, it's also pre-typed right on the envelope that the prints get mailed out in (which HE gives people), so he must see the address all the time. Plus, after doing this for however many years, he must get a return address on the envelope when they send him the results of the prints. But he swears he doesn't know. He also said that he sent in our vendor/payment paper weeks ago, but we've had the kids for just over a month and haven't received a dime. I think the whole thing is fishy.

that does sound fishy, I know in our state it is sent to the home office of dhr which is the capitol of the state. what state are you in? maybe i can help you find the right location, i work in the same office as dhr in my state.

I live in Maine. No this isn't a kinship placement, I don't/didn't know any of them.

Our agency pays a month behind. We got our FD in Dec and did not receive anything until the end of Jan. We had to call and ask our agency also about payments.

Well we've had the kids for almost two months now and still haven't received any stipend money! They keep saying their was some kind of mix up with the vendor form (we've filled out 3 so far because of "mix ups"). We also still haven't got our license yet because dh's fingerprints were "unreadable" twice and they said they won't do them more than twice. So now they're supposedely doing some kind of state-to-state background check (which my LW said they've "never had to do before"). I asked how long that would take and got "who knows". I said at least another month right? he said he didn't know. We originally did our prints in mid october and had everything else done by late October except the classes, which we finished on December 5th, we should have our license darn it! They still haven't given us any type of medical records which I've been asking for for weeks, and the "case plan" info the gave us barely gave any info at all. They were working with this family for 6 months before we got their kids, they know a lot more than they're telling I bet! So far, every single thing about this process in slooooow and irritating. I think there's a lot of B.S. going on and my dh especially is getting reallllly tired of it.

Go to your CW's supervisor. If they don't help, go on the next up and keep going. I had tons of problems with my cw and had to go above him constantly. Guess who no longer works there? Apparently, I wasn't the only one.
