Anyone have experience with VATER Syndrome & Short Gut Syndrome?

I have submitted my notice of interest for a child who has VATER Syndrome and Short Gut Syndrome and I'm in the process of having my homestudy forwarded to the agency. I have read about both of these conditions online, but caring for a child with these issues may involve things that are not readily found in an Internet search. I would appreciate hearing about any/all (good/bad) experiences anyone has had in relation to these syndromes. Thanks!
