We first looked into a surrogate, with two failed attempts we started looking more and more into adoption. We now believe we should have looked more into it to start with as we now understand there are so many children out there already who need parents.
We are just getting started, so finding this board is exciting to us. We look forward to learning from each of you.

Were not actually 100% sure yet which way we would like to go as of yet. Being that we think we would like an older child in our home we are leaning towards foster/adopt in order to get more of a feel for the situation before we dive in heart and soul. We have contacted our state and are waiting to hear back as to when the next meeting is, were assuming that is an orientation of sorts to educate us about the options. Am I correct in my understanding of this part of the process?
