Without knowing the state that you were adopted in I can give you some basic info from our Search Expert here on the boards: Contact the adoption agency that handled your adoption for your non-identifying information about your adoption. Contact the office to sign up for the Mutual Consent Registry and to request the Confidential Intermediary search service if you would like to locate additional relatives. If you do not know what adoption agency handled your adoption you can make the request for your non-identifying information. They will also give out non-identifying information for private adoptions (non-agency). Ask as many questions as you can from the people who may have some information relatives, etc. If you wish to post on these boards the state you were adopted in I may be able to supply you with the address to request the above info from.
