We adopted three boys that are now in DHS custody. It looks like we are going to have to terminate our parental rights on the two older boys, which is very sad, but, the DHS caseworker will not even allow us to see them. The four-year-old, we have had since birth, and we see him every week for 8 months now. They want to keep all three boys in permanent foster care, which is breaking our hearts, even though we are working our entire case plan that DHS has laid out for us. The four-year-old begs us to take him home with us after every visit and we share a very strong bond with this child. We are rerquesting prayer that the Lord will have mercy and allow our youngest child to come home. The DHS caseworker has told untruths and has manipulated this whole situation, yet he continues to do this, despite the fact all involved with this case can clearly see what is really going on. He has had an agenda to terminate our parental rights since the beginning of this case, which started almost a year ago.

Praying for you. We are prayerfully considering fostering through DHS. Our other desire is to adopt internationally. I take it, based on your traumatic situation, that you would not reccomend fostering through DHS? It sounds like a nightmare to me.

Leisha,
Well,I cannot say that DHS is all bad, but, we have a caseworker that is bad. He has lied constantly, twisted things around, manipulated the situation. So, don't let our experience discourage you. We are praying that his lies be exposed in the upcoming trial and that my husband gets a new job because the caseworker even caused him to lose his other job, plus, we are praying that Justin comes home and that our parental rights are not terminated. If you want to do foster care or adopt a child, it does not mean that you will have a negative experience because of what we are enduring.
