Hello. This is my first post here so please bear with me. My hubby and I are an AA couple interested in adoption. We are in the state of PA. We are still in the process of saving and have some questions. I hope someone can give us some information.
1. I understand AA adoptions can be less expensive, can anyone give me some ball park figures (or steer me in the right direction)?
2. Where do we begin? This seems like so much information I don't know how to get started.
3. Can someone please PM the names of some agencies they have used previously?
4. What kinds of things should we be aware of to avoid?
5. Any other advice?
I hope this isn't too much. I have been reading old posts and there is so much info here. Thanks a million.

Hi tonya! Congrats on adopting! I am cc and my husband is AA and because of this our agency is expecting us to have a very short wait (though only God knows for sure)
our agency is Michigan (we are in Louisiana) and we are currently the only couple that they are working with that has an AA in it...which can sometimes be very important to an expectant mother.
We love our agency and the way they handle fees (all major fees are not due until you sign the papers to adopt the baby) and because of the fact that they match MUCH later in the pregnancy and also do alot of baby born matches too :)

Thanks Christina and good luck to you. Your agency sounds like one I would really be interested in. Would you mind PM the name of your agency? And thanks again for your help.
I recommend you start with your municipal sewerage treatment plant. Failing that, you can check with local vets. They have to clean out cages every day. Why not just look before you flush? If you really want to keep poop hanging around, this can be done on the cheap!
