Hello everyone!
I'm getting close to compelting my Homestudy and plan to file I600a after the Homestudy is done. The USCIS website shows that the processing time for I600A for Baltimore is 4.7 months :( I hope that it will take less than that!!! If you have recently received approval from the Baltimore office, please share how long did you have to wait! Thanks a million!!!
You might take a look at this link. USCIS - USCIS Announces Revised Forms I-600 and I-600A
Per this link the I600A is being centrally processed now.

Thank you Debbie,
Yes these forms are being processed from a centralized location in Texas now. I suspect that 4.7 month estimate includes cases when people send in their I600A form and then (maybe months later) send their homestudy, maybe that is why the average processing time is so long, I hope it will be shorter in my case...
Those field office tables are notoriously inaccurate. Have been for as long as I can remember.
Hopefully the I600A and I800A being processed centrally will streamline the process.
I live in one of the 'slow' states, and it still ticks me off 7 years later that it took 3.5 months to get my 171H (and that was with begging) when other people got theirs in just a couple weeks. Probably need to get over it. ;)
I didn't look, but does the office where they are being processed now show a processing time? Probably not accurate anyway, but might be worth a look.
Good luck! Hope it is quick for you!
Thanks, yes the 4.7 is the office specific processing time. I asked the agency and they said they think it takes 6 weeks or so, but I guess we will see...
The Dallas office that the I600A is initially submitted to is showing they are currently processing from August 30, 2009. There is no way that is right.
The form is then routed to and adjudicated at the USCIS National Benefits Center, in Lees Summit, Missouri though and there is no processing time shown for that office unluckly.
Hopefully they are right with the six weeks!
