It is better for a child to grow up without parents and get to heaven then to have a great childhood and live the wrong kind of life.

All I can say is AARGH! Hmm... how about Jesus saying to the men wanting to stone the "woman taken in adultery," "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." The problem is that all of us (who are Christians) have our own canon -- that is the parts of the Bible that we believe to be more important than other parts. (Sigh.)

I decided Sharonmomx5 was a blight on our membership and she's gone. If this is the only topic she can find to post on after joining in March and attack an entire group of people and their innocent children, then she can piss off. (insert your batting eyelash smiley here);)

I'm reminded of the ELCAChurchwide assembly in 2001. We were picketed by BOTH sides of the "gay" issue. The antis carried signs like "God hates fags." I wanted to go outside and walk up to that man and say, "God loves you anyway!"

I'm so glad you all got into that fray. I just couldn't do it. It's an issue stupid people use as their last bastion of hate and sometimes I just can't deal with the ignorance. They need a shanking.
