Hi...my caseworker told me that fp respite guidelines is written in our contract. What contract she is talkin about I am not sure...but what I have experienced is you can request respite but it may not be granted. In June I was scheduled 4 back surgery and gave ample notification. I was denied because I am carin 4 three kids & they didn't want 2 separate them...& they didn't inform me of the decicion until the day before my surgery! Can u imagine the stress I endured! Fortunately my mom was around to take care of me & the kids after the surgery..idk what I would have done. Now six months after the kids have been in my care the kids are on weekend unsupervised visits with the parents & that is my respite.
