Has anyone gone through the selection process in Indiana? If the adoption worker for the child e-mails you with more questions after reading your homestudy is this a good sign? Thanks!!

We kind of did. We interviewed once from a phone call we received. They already had 2 families in county and I think they just needed a third to interview. We knew within moments that we were not going to be chosen, they already had a family picked, but had to follow the rules... Then we interviewed for a child we had done respite for. Again, it was just a formality. We were the chosen family, but it did not end up working out. After our experience and that of a few friends who interviewed for kids they submitted a home study for, we have decided we will never again do an interview. It is my experience that they are not truthful at the interview. We were not told about medical issues that were in her medical records. They told us she was a foster care oddity with mo medical issues. A month later, I took her to the doctor and the doc asked me about things listed in her medical records. There were specific notes in there about the caseworker having concerns about these things... Another friend did not find out about a major medical issue until after being chosen. They found out during their first visit with the child when they saw the child. Good luck!
