Our DD is 3 months old and up until a few days ago would always nurse and then take a bottle (usually 3 oz). Now it seems that after nursing she is full and will only take an ounce or two if any. She's not acting strange in anyway to make me feel like her appetite is down and acts really hungry right before nursing so I don't know what to think.
Has anyone ever experienced a sudden increase in supply... for no apparent reason?? Could it be because she is more efficient now and is just getting more? Any info would help. It's worrisome to think your babys not eating enough, but she's acting perfectly fine otherwise (and is a chubby little thing!) so I'm not sure what to think. :(
I didn't have this experience, but then again nursing my bio ds was always a struggle because he had feeding and GI problems. It sounds like your body's just giving the newbie what she needs! HOW GREAT!

My daughter went up and down with how much supplement she was taking. At one time she went from only 4 ounces a day to more than double that. Now, she is back down from that. Its hard to say whether she is just not needing more right now or you have started producing more. Well done if you are!!! That is exciting!
If you're really concerned, you can weigh her before and after a feeding in ounces. That's what they did for me at the lactation consultant when I was having issues feeding DD when she was born. Do you feel more full before a feeding? At this age, if she's not getting enough breastmilk, I would think she would be taking more from the bottle, so she's probably getting her fill.
